The rector of the Cracow University of Technology. The president of the Scientific and Technical Council for Kraków Metro Construction, as well as a member of many scientific and advisory bodies, including: Warsaw Metro, the Railway Research Institute, the Building Research Institute, the General Directorate for Roads and Motorways. He is an author of transport models for Polish cities and regions, including Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, Rzeszów, Warsaw, Cracow, and Kielce.
