1st Prize - No. 11
„Re-Flows”
Justification of the Jury’s Verdict
The jury praised the project for following the directions set by the competition tasks and appreciated the way in which the project addresses most of the most pressing issues in the area of the competition. The analytical section outlines the directions for future development. The form of the application deserves attention. The ideas were not fully reflected in the final design decisions. The visualizations do not fully illustrate the conceptual assumptions. The jury invite their laureate to pay particular attention to the balance between the minerality of public spaces and vegetalization as well as to the design of softened transition with the surroundings.
For the above reasons, the jury decided to reduce the main prize.
2nd Prize - No. 8
„Space to discover”
Justification of the Jury’s Verdict
The work properly manages the space in development. For each of them, it identifies problems and considers development directions. The proposed solutions do not provide a solution that contradicts the same, which is interesting and bold. The possibility of utilizing access to the river was appreciated. Sensitivity to users, taking into account various interests, was appreciated. The design proposals, however, do not form a cohesive whole. They are presented in an overly concise manner, and the practical aspects of how the site would be used have not been fully considered.

„Re-designing Wawel”
Justification of the Jury’s Verdict
The jury evaluates the urban planning diagnosis for the location selection. The clarity and impact of the message, as well as the choice of the main theme and its interesting interpretation, are noteworthy. However, the application fails to address urban planning considerations and provides no information on functional and formal issues, particularly regarding regulations, local integration, and the spatial planning of connections between public spaces and the renaturalization logic.
3rd Prize ex-aequo - No. 10
„Wawel Park"
Justification of the Jury’s Verdict
The entry rightly starts out from the greening of all the competition area. The proposal is based on three layers one following the historical layout of the Vistula river proposing small water canals. The second proposes an underground access to the Wawel castle. The third proposal is the interesting idea of the sea of chery blossom trees that celebrate the arrival of the springtime and can become a temporary local and tourist attraction. The project has an original and refined graphic design leaving space to open interpretation. Yet, some design ideas elements are considered unnecessary spectacles and questionable by the jury such as the concept of the rotating trees. Overall the jury appreciates the poetic, brave and original concept, building on the existing and for the reinterpretation of the historical, and contemporary elements.
